Two of the main aims of Còmhla are:
  • to collaboratively author an open-source, comprehensive descriptive grammar of contemporary Gaelic, including sociolinguistic information (dialectal, historical and register variation).
  • where grammatical/lexical/orthographical variation exists, to consensually formulate clear, principled guidelines as to what should constitute "standard formal Gaelic", for use in official situations.

This page is the main portal for the Gràmar na Gàidhlig activities of the community. If you have any general questions or comments about this work, you can leave a message on the "Discussion" tab for this page.
